>> Detroit in mourning Thursday after the death of a police officer. The Wayne State University cop who took a bullet to the head while on duty earlier this week died Wednesday from his injuries. 29 year old Collin Rose a member of the K-9 unit was shot after stopping a bicyclist Tuesday evening while patrolling an area close to campus in Detroit's Woodbridge neighborhood.
31 year old Deangelo Davis was arrested a few blocks from the shooting. Police say he has a history of assaulting cops. Back in 2011, he pleaded guilty to two counts of felony assault involving a police officer, and served time in jail. It's been a tragic week for law enforcement following separate incidents in what some are calling Bloody Sunday.
That single day saw two cops shot in Missouri, both survived, another officer was wounded in Florida. But in San Antonio, a detective was fatally ambushed in his patrol car and shot twice in the head.
