>> President Obama ordering a full review of the waves of cyber attacks in this year's elections blamed on Russia. Obama telling intelligence services to have a report on his desk before he leaves office. The word from Obama's Homeland Security advisor Lisa Monaco on Friday. Monica was saying the attacks crossed a new threshold.
The US government accusing Vladimir Putin's Russia in the hacking of Democratic Party servers saying there would be consequences. Reporter Jeff Mason is on the story.>> So this review will focus on the cyber attacks and otherwise foreign interference into the U.S. election in 2016. Intelligence officials said in October that Russia had intervened in the election with cyber attacks.
This particular report is gonna look more broadly at what happened. And try to come up with some lessons learned that the United States can apply going forward. He is concerned that the issue needs to be addressed before President Elect Trump takes office on January 20th. Law makers on Capitol Hill, including Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain also pushing to know how Moscow pride into this year's election.
