>> The ax has come down on a reported member of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team. Trump firing the son of Lieutenant general Michael Flynn, whom he's chosen as his future National Security Advisor. The younger Flynn losing his spot for spreading a fake news story known as Pizza Gate on Twitter.
The conspiracy theory claimed that a child sex trafficking ring was being run inside a DC pizzeria and that Hillary Clinton and her campaign were involved. That story prompted a man from North Carolina to storm the restaurant on Sunday and fire off a rifle. Flynn doubled down on the rumor on Monday tweeting, until #Pizzagate proven to be false, it'll remain a story.
There have been different answers coming from within the Trump camp as to whether Michael Flynn was in fact part of the transition team. A team's spokesman saying Monday, Flynn was no longer involved with it despite Vice President-elect Mike Pence saying, he was never involved in the first place.
