>> Chattanooga police arresting the driver of the school bus, involved in a gruesome crash Monday, that killed six children. 24-year-old Johnthony Walker, charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless driving. Chattanooga police chief, Fred Fletcher, calling the accident. An absolute nightmare, for the community.>> What we do know about this crash, is it was a single vehicle.
Only the bus was involved.>> Speed, appears to have been a factor. The bus wrapping around a tree, nearly split in half. Friends and family gather outside a local hospital, Monday night shaken, sobbing and collapsed with grief. The bus was carrying kindergartners, through fifth graders. Five children died at the scene, the six are at the hospital.
Nearly two dozen more, were hospitalized with injuries. The national transportation safety board, is opening a probe into the crash. And Tennessee governor Bill Haslam said, the state will also offer assistance.
