Ghana suffering from a slump in prices for its key exports, gold, oil, and cocoa. Now a transition of power will cement Ghana's status as a beacon of democracy in Africa. It regularly holds peaceful, but closely fought elections. If confirmed, this would be the third time since 2000 that voters have kicked out an incumbent.
