The Department of Justice announced the man who is charged with killing a counter-protester during a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year, has also been charged with federal hate crimes and could face the death penalty. The rally gained international notoriety when James Alex Fields Junior drove his car into a group of people protesting against the Unite the Right Rally Killing Heather Heyer and injuring dozens more.
