COMING UP:Share Opener Variant 2

>> A raging inferno in northern California where multiple wildfires are tearing their way across thousands of miles of dry land. At least a dozen buildings have been destroyed, hundreds more threatened.>> We have some areas that are grassy where we can use bulldozers. We have some areas that are really steep and rocky where we're using hand crews.
And we have some areas that are just intermixed homes where we're using fire engines. So we're using all the tools in the toolbox on this one.>> The Pawnee Fire is threatening to cut off access to a rural community in the Spring Valley region about 100 miles northwest of Sacramento.
Authorities say the wildfire is burning out of control and has forced 3,000 people from their homes. Erratic winds and soaring temperatures are fueling the fire as it continues to rage through steep terrain. Two hours away, the Lane Fire in eastern Tehama County has grown to 3,000 acres and continues to burn.
Currently, the state is battling four major wildfires. So far, no injuries have been reported.
