>> Lebron James, one of the NBA's all time greatest players, is moving to one of the league's most storied franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers. The move announced by his agent on Twitter Sunday will bring James a four time NBA most valuable player to a Laker's organization run by another basketball legend Magic Johnson.

James, who spent the past four years playing for his home town, Cleveland Cavaliers, agreed to a four year $154 million dollar contract, according to his agent. Reuters Rory Carrol is in Los Angeles.>> Lebron's decision to join the Lakers is very welcome news to basketball fans here in Los Angeles.

Who've seen there storied franchise struggle mightily in recent seasons. Lebron's four year contract showing that he's in it for the long haul. Lebron to the Lakers, means that the west coast is gonna be the beating heart of basketball for the years to come as Steph Curry and the Gold State Warriors challenge Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

It will be an exciting season coming ahead.>> James is a fourteen time NBA All Star, a two time Olympic Gold Medalist, and has clinched three Championship titles. Two with the Miami Heat and one with the Cavaliers. The LA deal ends James' second stint with the Cav's, the team that drafted him as a teenager in 2003.

His contract with the team allowed him to opt out of the final year of the deal and that sparked a recorded bidding war among several teams, including the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Houston Rockets. Bringing James onto the roster could be a game changer for the Lakers, a young team which hasn't made the playoffs in five straight seasons.

And going from Cleveland to Tinseltown is also a fit for James' interest off the court. He's already the owner of a film production company and has two homes in Southern California.
