>> At least 3 people are dead and 22 others wounded in Thailand after a bombing in this market place. Authorities say the bomb was placed near to a food stall selling pork in Yala Province. The meat is strictly forbidden for Muslims under Islamic Law. Yala is part of a group of predominantly Muslim provinces in Thailand's far south, and they're home to a long-running insurgency by ethnic Malay Muslims fighting for autonomy, In which over 6,000 people have been killed since 2004.
There had been fewer violent incidents of late, however. Officials say the shop's female owner and a male customer were among the three killed. The bomb also wrecked nearby stalls. No group has so far claimed responsibility. And it's not clear whether the bomb was placed at the pork stall in a deliberate attempt to target Thai Buddhists.
