The protestors belong to an ultra-left group, the Economic Freedom Fighters. They trashed six H&M stores in South Africa's economic hub of Johannesburg. Police say officers fired rubber bullets to disperse them. The fashion giant has issued an apology for the widely criticised ad this week and says it has removed the offending sweatshirt from all its marketing.
But a spokesperson for the EEF says that's too little too late.
