>> A shocking discovery in California. Officials say it was here at this home in Perris, 70 miles east of Los Angeles, where 13 malnourished siblings were found. Some of whom had been chained to beds. Police arrested the children's parents David Allen Turpin and Louise Anna Turpin. Officials say they were each charged with nine counts of torture and ten counts of child endangerment.
Police made the discovery on Sunday after one of the children, a 17 year old girl, escaped and contacted them. The siblings ranged in age from 2 to 29, and reportedly told police they were starving. Police did not detail the parents' motive for holding the children hostage. The parents, who are being held on $9 million bail, are due in court on Thursday.
