>> Homes reduced to rubble after a fast moving wildfire in California, Santa Barbara County destroyed close to two dozen homes. The so-called Holiday Fire forced more than 2,000 people to flee their homes and left thousands without power. As of Sunday, the blaze burned through more than one hundred acres and was 80% contained.
Cooler temperatures are expected at the beginning of the week bringing some much needed relief to fire fighters. The Holiday Fire is one of more than three dozen major wildfires burning across the US West, fanned by scorching heat and strong winds. Another fire burning near California's border with Oregon left one person dead, marking the first fatality of the fire season in California.
