Seeing Trump siding with Putin is disgraceful and detrimental to our democratic principles. Former CIA director John Brennan went as far as to call Trump's performance in Helsinki treasonous, even some of Trump's staunchest supporters in the media broke ranks. Fox Business Anchor, Neil Cavuto calling it disgusting that Trump had failed to challenge Putin on election interference.
Trump held his meeting with Putin just days after Special Counsel Robert Mueller unveiled an indictment against 12 Russian agents for hacking democratic party documents to help him win the votes.>> It's a total witch hunt.>> Critics from both major parties have blasted Putin for meddling in the 2016 race.
As well as for his military intervention in Syria, the annexation of Crimea and the nerve agent poisonings in the UK. But Trump refused to criticize Putin after their summit saying, both Washington and Moscow had made mistakes and holding both countries irresponsible the poor state of relations.
