nnnnn july fourth fireworks are getting snuffed out in parts of the west coast due to the region's historic drought authorities fearing the pyrotechnics could trigger wildfires in places where record low rainfall has turned the region into a tinderbox communities in washington state oregon california and alaska imposing outright fans these include cupertino california and anchorage alaska , the fire chief in portland oregon telling celebrants to show their patriotism with flags not fireworks , leases have spread throughout the west coast marking an early start to the fire scene , two massive fires in california forced evacuations in six san bernadino communities , in alaska twenty six large wildfires destroyed homes and continued to burn this week , washington state has also seen more than three hundred fires this year , please also cracking down on the illegal fireworks business los angeles seizing more than seven hundred pounds of pyrotechnics , but in some places the show will go on seattle san francisco and l. a. will light up the sky saturday night
