lawrence haley outside the supreme court , uh marriage licenses being issued were as i speak around the country and states the previously banned gay marriage to gay couples anywhere across the u. s. can now get married and the the lower the land has been changed forever , the court was brutally divided on this decision with justice anthony kennedy writing for the majority , that %HESITATION yet is the essential dignity through marriage and so that people can't be excluded from that without violating the u. s. constitution , the same thing judge justices all conservatives are right very harsh and opinions chief justice john roberts and i actually read a summary of his dissent from the bench which is the first time he's ever done not in in the decade easily on supreme court he stressed that this is an issue that %HESITATION , courts should not be deciding it should be left to the %HESITATION elected representative , representatives in states to decide not something the supreme court should be doing justice antonin scalia wrote a separate dissenting opinion and in which he actually accused the court of being a threat to democracy because of what it done today scalia who's known for his colorful invective one writing , dissenting opinions , said that justice kennedy's majority opinion was caged in a style that is as pretentious as its content is egotistic
