rather than beg people to get republican presidential candidates want to overturn the ruling allowing gays to marry coast to coast in texas says it'll allow judges to deny them marriage licenses on religious grounds but other than that few conservatives seem up for much of a fight i many solomon at a gathering of religious conservatives in denver colorado this should be a focal point for opposition to gay marriage ruling , the people i've spoken to are much more focused on limiting any further damage , they worry that the ruling could force churches to perform gay marriages are businesses like florists and bakeries decatur them even if they don't want to and you won't hear fire and brimstone denunciations of the gay lifestyle either everybody i spoke to was careful to say they supported all americans right to live the way they want to live , that's a different message from what some presidential candidates were saying it scott walker wants to amend the constitution says states can ban gay marriage on their own ted cruz wants to amend its of voters can recall judges , the last two days the supreme court decisions have been heartbreaking and mike huckabee is suggesting that civil disobedience is an option live for the stars and citing martin luther king he said people need to follow their conscience even if it conflicts with the law and states that don't want to issue marriage licenses can simply ignore the supreme court's ruling but if their leaders want to step up the fight that's not what i'm hearing from the rank and file here in denver for them like everybody else gay marriage is now the law of the land
