you it is about not only winning elections it is about transforming america democratic voters try to figure out bernie sanders , i am just a mitchell reporting from an arena , portland maine were right behind me here senator bernie sanders of vermont it's the latest stop in what has become sort of a barn storming campaign that is putting on for the democratic nomination in twenty sixty distance , no audiences of thousands of people in tonight's no difference i was outside and people were lined up around the corner to see and speak , and even though the odds are long he's going to be the democratic nominee with former , terry of state hillary clinton , still being way ahead in the polls , message is really really resonating intensely with a lot of voters as i found out , every single thing he seems for for over forty years is , it's not , to tell you how it is nnnnn nnnnn , problems are , the great middle class , of this country , one of the big knocks against bernie sanders has been that off he doesn't have much of an appeal to minorities , uh and it's kind of is borne out by the crowd here tonight while there were a lot of different ages of people i talk to teenagers and i talk to people in their seventies they were overwhelmingly white middle class , but it was interesting that he seems like he's trying to branch out a little bit in his speech at one point quoted martin luther king junior and talks a lot about issues like mass incarceration and a high level of unemployment among african american youths if he really wants to create the sort of broad based political revolution is talking about you can expect to hit these issues a lot more in the future , you
