>> Nearly 207 million eggs from a farm in North Carolina are being recalled due to salmonella fears after 22 people fell ill. Indiana-based Rose Acre Farms alerted the FDA to the recall due to quote, an abundance of caution. The Food and Drug Administration posted the recall on Friday.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. The eggs reached consumers in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
