>> Suicide bombers hitting two Iraqi cities Sunday. Carrying out twin attacks with ambulances packed with explosives. The first during morning rush hour at a checkpoint in Tikrit, killing at least 13. Then, in Samara, where the bomber detonated a vehicle in a car parked with pilgrims, with at least eight dead.
The blasts claimed by Islamic State appear to be part of a series of diversionary attacks. As Iraqi troops and security forces battle to re-take the northern city of Mosul from the militant group.
