>> Rebuilding what Islamic state destroyed.
aqi Christians in Bashiqa erect a new crucifix over the town's church on Saturday. The original ruined by militants. Church bells ringing out over the town near Mosul where Iraqi forces are trying to drive out the jihadists. Islamic State has targeted religious minorities, threatening their lives if they don't pay a tax or convert to Islam.
Most Christians fled towards the autonomous Kurdish region, but a handful have remained defiant. Elsewhere in the town, Peshmerga fighters carry a lavish traditional meal. It's been prepared by local women as a gesture of thanks for their part in the fight to recapture Mosul. Last week, the forces successfully drove the militants out of Bashiqa.
