>> Rescuers on the scene of a building collapse in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, was still searching the rubble Tuesday for as many as 15 people reported missing, a 7-storey block came down late Monday, shortly after Kenyan authorities ordered all occupants to evacuate, following reports cracks have developed in the structure.
A resident of the collapsed building told Reuters the warning signs were there.>> This building shows signs of collapsing one week ago. We started seeing some huge cracks from below but was plastered. We thought the repairs have been successful. But yesterday we discovered huge cracks by the staircase, and by 7 o'clock the building had sunk and people just took off.
>> Kenyan authorities say a specialized team was called in to help with the rescue efforts. The incident occurring in a residential suburb to the east of the capital, Nairobi. This isn't the first time the country has suffered a similar tragedy, 49 people died last year when a building collapsed after a heavy downpour.
