Sadly I can confirm that the number of people that have died is now 17. We have not yet formally established what the cause of the fire is. And that's one of our priorities for the investigation. But there's nothing to suggest this has got anything to do with terrorism.
>> The ongoing plan for today is I have my specialist urban search and rescue teams and advisors to come down, to come to a plan as to how we can make the building safe going forward. To allow my firefighters and the police to work closely together to progress through the building doing a detailed fingertip search.
Looking for evidence and looking for identification of people who may have been in the building. We are going to utilize some specialist dog training teams that will go through the building and the surrounding area, looking for any identification or people. It's the upper floors that will be more challenging, and we'll need some additional shoring for us to be able to get in there.
With the size of this building, it could take weeks.
