Setting off tear gas and flashbangs to rein in rowdy demonstrators after protests by supporters and opponents of President President Donald Trump in the wake of a racially charged killing that shocked the city.

Police arrested 14 people throughout the day and showed photos on Twitter of weapons seized from demonstrators, from a hunting knife and brass knuckles to a slingshot.>> USA, USA.>> Hundreds turned up for the Trump free speech rally outside City Hall, a week after a man on a racist tirade stabbed three people on a local train, killing two of them.

Portland police say they have been training for weeks in anticipation of the protests. No injuries have been reported.
