>> Gunmen wielding automatic weapons, and at least one suicide bomber have attacked Iran's parliament and a shrine in Tehran. Islamic Slate claiming responsibility for the assault that killed up to seven people on Wednesday morning. Three attackers, one with the pistol and two with AK47 assault rifles, opening fire inside parliament, one lawmaker told state television.
The assailant killing seven and wounding several others. Around half an hour later, gun fire at the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini, who launched the Iranian revolution in the 1970s. That assault injuring several members of the public around English language press TV set. One attacker according to the IRNA News Agency, detonating a suicide vest after shooting at people.
IS said two suicide bombers had targeted the shrine. Iranian TV says parliament has resumed and broadcast footage of what it said was the opening session. Gunman, Iran's Intelligence Ministry said the attacks were carried out by quote terrorist groups and that a third had been thwarted.
