>> The moment armed police shot the London Bridge attackers dead. CCTV footage appearing online, showing officers opening fire on the militants as they rampaged through Borough Market. Eight people were killed and 50 injured on Saturday night as three men drove a van into crowds of people and then attacked revelers in bars and restaurants with knives.
And a graphic short mobile phone video showing one of the Islamists dead on the ground.
]>> Meanwhile, British police have arrested three more suspects in connection with the attack. Two men on the street in Ilford East, London late on Wednesday and a third on a house nearby.
Two of them, aged 27 and 29, held on suspicion of preparing acts of terrorism. Police and security agencies now facing questions about whether they missed chances to thwart the attack. One of the militants, Khuram Butt had appeared in a television documentary call The Jihadis Next Door. In it, he unfurled an Islamic State flag in a park and was shown to have connections with known radical preachers.
Another of the men, Italian Moroccan Youssef Zaghba was identified as a possible militant threat after he was stopped at Bologna airport in 2016 trying to get to Syria. He wasn't charged, but local police monitored him carefully and say they tipped off Britain when he moved to London. The authorities have said Butt was known to police and MI5, but that there was no intelligence that an attack was being planned, adding that they were unaware of the other two men.
