>> German officials giving the all clear to festival goers Saturday after the Rock am Ring concert was evacuated on Friday night due to a possible terrorist threat.>> In the course of the night and in the early hours of this morning, we have checked the stages, the event area and the merchandising area and have not found anything, so we've given clearance to the entire festival area.
>> The festival held near Germany's Nuerburgring racetrack will resume on Saturday after police investigations.>> I'm very glad that after the investigation of the police, we can tell the organizers today that the festival, Rock am Ring, can continue. That I think, is also a decision that many of the festival goers appreciate.
>> Security at the event was heightened in the wake of the suicide bombing at Manchester Arena in May, which killed 22. Police saying the number of security officials at the German festival was increased substantially to 1,200. It's not the first time the Rock am Ring event has been hit with problems.
In 2016, the final day was canceled after lightning strikes injured 80 people, some seriously.
