Thirty year old Democrat Jon Ossoff, a political newcomer, is looking to win the House seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price in the historically Republican suburban Atlanta district. Democrats hoping a win will serve as a referendum on President Trump and give their party the momentum it needs to win back the majority in the House.
The latest polls show Ossoff and his opponent, Republican Karen Handel, who served as Georgia's Secretary of State in a tight race. Both spent the weekend rallying voters to get out and vote.>> And we are gonna rock Nancy Pelosi's world.>> The race has shattered records as the most expensive congressional contest in US history, with total spending approaching $40 million.
