>> At least eight people wounded in a shooting late Sunday in front of a mosque in Avignon, Southern France. But sources says the mosque wasn't the target. Local reports say police aren't treating the shooting as terrorism related and suspect, instead, the attackers were young people settling a dispute.
Two gunmen with their faces covered fired shots as worshippers were coming out of the mosque, then fled the scene.>>
> Four people were wounded outside the building, and a family of four were injured by shrapnel in their apartment just meters away. Two of the wounded were taken to hospital.
France is on high alert after a string of militant attacks over the past few years. Just Thursday, a man was arrested for trying to drive into a crowd in front of a Paris mosque.
