He also pledged harsh retaliation a day after the Israeli Air Force responded to stray rocket fire which hit part of its territory. Israel targeted Syrian military installations after shells landed in the occupied Golan Heights on Saturday.
But a Syrian military source said the Israeli strike killed some civilians. Netanyahu announced the attacks were unacceptable.>> Our policy is clear, we will not tolerate any spillover of any kind, not mortars, not rockets, or any fire trickle from any front. We'll respond strongly to any attack on our territory or our citizens.
>> Israeli military describes Syria's shellfire as errant and called it an unacceptable breach of sovereignty. The Syrian military source said Israeli rocket fire had hit a residential building, causing a number of deaths and structural damage.
