>> Although fires in southern California have been contained, three blazes in Nevada are still burning out of control. The two blazes, the Truckee and Earth Stone fires both started on July 3rd. The Truckee fire had burned more than 50,000 acres by Wednesday morning, between Wadsworth and Nixon. And Earthstone Fire, which started near the town of Sparks, has so far burned 25,000 acres, and is only 20% contained.
>> And you can see that we're way out here by Waltham Way, by the Reno Tahoe Industrial Complex,>> So it's come a lot of miles out here. I don't know the exact figure, but it has come probably seven or eight miles at least.>> And north of Reno, another blaze, the Winnemucca Ranch Fire, has covered 1500 acres and is far from contained.
Although evacuation orders have been lifted in most of the areas, authorities are still urging people not to return home just yet.
