McConnell making the announcement after McCain said he would remain in Arizona this week, after having surgery Friday to remove a two inch blood clot from above his left eye.
2 out of the 52 Republican Senators in the chamber have already said they would not support the bill, Rand Paul from Kentucky and Susan Collins of Maine.>> I wanna see a complete overhaul.>> Without McCain, there was doubt that Senate Republicans would be able to get the 50 yes votes needed to pass legislation dismantling Obamacare.
All Senate Democrats and two Independent Senators opposed the bill. McCain's office of the Senator was in good condition and resting comfortably at home, following his surgery at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. It is unclear how long the Senate vote will be delayed.
