SNL wrapping up its most watched season in more than 20 years, with Alec Baldwin getting a best supporting actor nod as The Donald.
And Melissa McCarthy nominated for best guest actress for her role as Sean Spicer. Carrie Fisher also getting a posthumous nomination as best guest actress in a comedy series for Amazon's show, Catastrophe. Netflix hit, Stranger Things, also receiving 18 nominations, while HBO's, Veep, earned 17 nods and a chance to clinch the best comedy series award for the third year in a row.
Game of Thrones, the show that dominated last year's Emmys, isn't eligible for this year's awards because of its midsummer premiere date. Stephen Colbert, of CBS' Late Show, also a nominee for best variety talk series, will be hosting the live Emmy Awards Show on September 17th.
