>> A Japanese man has reportedly been arrested after police found body parts from nine different people in his apartment. Japanese media say the 27 year old suspect had stored in the parts in picnic coolers. Local media reports say police were led to his apartment in Zama, a city just outside Tokyo, after investigating the disappearance of a 23 year old woman who went missing earlier this month.
She had been seen working with the man near the apartment on security camera footage. The police reportedly arrested the man on suspicion of abandoning a body and investigating him in connection with further crimes. A spokesman from the National Police Agency declined to confirm the reports saying nothing has been officially announced.
However, it is common for Japanese police to decline to speak to foreign media and speak only to members of Japan's police press club.
