The bill does a bit to strengthen relations, they also share an at-best strained relationship with the US. And Iranian officials said that Donald Trump had brought Iran's faction led leadership together in alignment with Russia. Eyebrows could be raised further in the US, therefore, by reports on Iranian state television, saying that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatola Ali Khamenei had told Putin that Iran and Russia need to step up cooperation.
