But today's parents, when they're shopping for costumes for young kids, are looking for costumes that are more empowering.>> Nine-year-old Abby, a Halloween princess in years past, opted for Star Wars heroine Rae this year. Because, she said, quote, she's very tough, she's helping a lot of other people survive.
The feminist-fueled costumes helping push overall sales to a record $9.1 billion in the US this Halloween season.
