>> The Huston Astros beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to win their first World Series Title. I'm Reuters Sports Correspondent, Rory Carroll at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles. Where the Huston Astros won Game 7 of the World Series to deliver the Franchise, it's First World Series Championship. They did it by jumping on Dodgers starting pitcher Yu Darvish early scoring five runs in the first two innings.
The biggest hit of the game came off the bat of Astros center fielder George Springer. It was his fifth home run of this World Series and he ended up winning the MVP trophy. After jumping out to an early lead, the Astros were able to rely on a long string of relief pitchers to secure the victory.
It's an emotional victory for the Houston Astros, who were playing for their fans back in Houston, many of whom are still recovering from the devastating Hurricane Harvey in August. The Dodgers were undone by a lack of offense. They stranded ten runners, and could never get the big hit that they needed to get back in this game.
The 2017 World Series will go down as one the great ones. It had two extra inning games, and more home runs hit than in any other World Series. Baseball fans can expect to see the Astros and the Dodgers in October again in the years to come, both teams sporting a strong core of young talented players.
