The planned gathering by the group Patriot Prayer had been the centerpiece of a weekend of protests in the Bay Area.>> If we let a little bit of hate speech, if we let a little bit of Nazis in, they're gonna spread and they're gonna end up killing our people.
So the way to defeat that is this. Power of the people. Organizing, coming out in thousands and making it known that we're not gonna let them walk on our streets. We're not gonna let them spread their hate speech. We're not gonna let them terrorize our communities, kill our babies, our mothers, our elders.
We're not gonna let that happen.>> At least one person was arrested when minor scuffles broke out between counterprotesters and the police.
