>> Aransas Pass, one of several cities battered by hurricane Harvey. The storm ripped off roofs, snapped trees, triggered tornadoes and flash floods, and cut off power to over 200,000 people, mostly in the Houston area on Saturday night. Officials say the storm has killed at least two people, and the death toll is expected to rise.
Racing against rising flood waters, crews are working to pull stranded residents from their home and cars in Southeast Texas. In Harris county first responders were conducting hundreds of rescues early on Sunday morning, and the frantic calls keep coming in. Authorities are urging residents to stay off the streets of Houston and other southeast cities as rain continues to fall in many areas, flooding roads and major intersections.
The Category 4 hurricane slammed into Texas late Friday, and has since lingered over Houston.
