pressure of a certain orthodoxy california senate on thursday passed a bill that would make comments accelerations mandatory for all school children california lawmakers have introduced a bill in the wake of the measles outbreak at disneyland last year that infected more than a hundred people , the bill eliminates the so called personal beliefs exception , which had previously allowed parents to ditch vaccinations if opposed to them for any reason , in recent years vaccination rates of many california schools have plummeted , parents declining to inoculate their children fearing a link between vaccines and autism not under the controversial bill parents who do not vaccinate their children would have to be homeschooled the legislation only addresses families that will begin enrolling their children in school kids who aren't currently immunize are not required to get vaccinated until seventh grade vaccination rates in many affluent and liberal parts of the state are well below the ninety two percent needed to maintain the group immunity in order to protect those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons or who have weak immune systems , the measure is still pending approval by the assembly
