the head of the federal reserve setting the stage for a historic policy change and johnson spicer here in providence where fed chair janet yellin , just was as clear as she is ever been out to the audience here that a rate hike is , coming this year she thinks is coming this year as long as the economy plays out as she is expecting , she talked about the temporary swoon in the in the economy in the first half of this year and calling it just that temporary and possibly even the results of some , statistical noise , she said there was still a lot of us some slack to be worked out in the labor market but all in all it was a fairly confident speech , that headwinds are abating for the economy and that the fed is getting ready in the markets , better be prepared to raise rates after more than six years near zero
