american rower sonya bomb steam is getting ready to cross the pacific ocean in this green carbon fiber rowboat and endeavor no woman has ever accomplished solo this truly is the hardest ocean crossing there's good years and bad years , it's kind of an interesting one with the storms , starting up early this year , so far nnal so maybe good i need higher winds to get across , if the ocean cooperates to journey from japan to san francisco could take four to six months , that throwing up to sixteen hours a day in a boat without a motor or sale there is no support vessel only a team that will help her from land via satellite phone , the boat is equipped with an emergency beacon in case of trouble and will be tracked by g. p. s. there's only so far you can prepare for this and your vote and everything , is what the oceans , despite sixteen attempts to row solo across the pacific only two men have successfully completed the journey bombs team hopes to set out on the seas on monday though that may depend on whether conditions ahead of typhoon dolphin , she's expected to veer close by next tuesday
