>> Media giant Comcast is preparing to gatecrash Disney's deal to buy most of 21st Century Fox. Three people familiar with the matter on Monday told Reuters, Comcast is talking to investment banks about financing an all-cash bid for much of Fox's TV and movie properties. Comcast is seeking $60 billion to back its bid, and that could trump Disney's $52 billion deal to acquire most of Fox.
But sources say Comcast is waiting to make its bid until after a US judge rules next month on whether telecommunications provider AT&T can go through with its acquisition of media conglomerate Time Warner. Sources say Comcast plans to make its offer only if AT&T and Time Warner prevail in court.
Comcast, Fox and Disney did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
