COMING UP:Share Opener Variant 4

>> It's actually very simple.>> No, it's really not. The president defended his new lawyer Rudy Giuliani Friday, after the former mayor of New York went on TV to say that Trump did in fact pay his attorney Michael Cohen back for his $130,000 payment to pornstar Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about her alleged affair with Trump.
Trump has denied knowing about the payment at all. And on Friday he seemed to walk back what Giuliani said, speaking about the 73-year-old former US attorney like a well-meaning intern.>> Rudy is a great guy, but he just started a day ago. But he really has his heart into it.
He's working hard. He's learning the subject matter. He'll get his facts straight.>> Trump tweeted on Thursday that Cohen was not paid using campaign funds, so the transaction had, quote, nothing to do with the campaign. Though, several experts pointed out an undisclosed campaign loan is also a violation of federal election law.
The investigation into Michael Cohen is an offshoot of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russian investigation, which Giuliani was brought in to help with, and which has been a continued source of frustration for Trump.>> It's a pure witch hunt.>> The president, Friday, again shifted his position over whether he'd talk with Robert Mueller.
>> I would love to speak, I would love to. Nobody wants to speak more than me. In fact, against my lawyers, because most lawyers say never speak on anything. Wait, wait, I have to find that we're gonna to be treated fairly.>> Giuliani said he wanted any Trump interview with Mueller to be limited in time and scope and not under oath.
