>> British home delivery service Ocado has seen its shares soar after signing a big deal with US retailer Kroger. The agreement will secure the online supermarket access to the world's biggest grocery market. It's set to provide Kroger with technological know-how, including robots that can process and pack orders.
Ocado shares surging as much a 50% on the announcement. The deal takes it into the US for the first time. Kroger will also be taking a stake in the UK company. The US retailer teaming up with Ocado to help battle Amazon, after it purchased Whole Foods. Ocado and Kroger aim to identify the first three sites for new automated warehouses this year.
