>> Ready?>> It was an on-screen love affair for the ages.>> You're just a figment of somebody's imagination, like Peter Pan.>> Best known for her role as Lois Lane in the Superman films of the 70s and 80s, actress Margot Kidder passed away Sunday at her home in Montana.
The Canadian born actress appeared on television shows and in movies throughout her life. But none so memorable as the iconic role opposite Christopher Reeve, that made her famous. Kidder reflected on the role when the Superman actors reunited for charity in 2001.>> My daughter and I were talking the other day about, in a couple of years my granddaughter will be able to watch it.
And that's when you really know you've been in a classic and you just feel great, it's wonderful>> Kidder made headlines in 1996, when police found her frightened and disheveled, three days after she was reported missing. The actress struggled with mental health issues that left her briefly homeless and later became an advocate for mental health.
Kidder continued to work as an actress up to her death at age 69. The cause of her death has not yet been released.
