>> On your first visit to Europe.>> US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is returning from his second visit to North Korea in less than six weeks. And this time he has three American detainees in tow. President Trump made the announcement on Twitter. He says they apperar to be in good health, and he'll greet them on the tarmac when they touch down on American soil.
>> We think relationships are building with North Korea. We'll see how it all works out. Maybe it will, maybe it won't.>> Pompeo seen here with Kim on his last visit. The three Americans are thought to be Kim Dong Chul, a missionary, along with two teachers from a Pyongyang Univerity, Tony Kim and Kim Haksong.
South Korea's demanded that the apparent goodwill gesture be bolstered by releasing six of their own held prisoner by the north. Pompeo had quietly arrived in Pyongyang ahead of the expected summit between Trump and Kim Jong-un. It also comes a day after Kim returned from his own secret trip to visit China's president, Xi Jinping.
There are some fears, though, that the prisoners' release could be used as leverage against the US as North Korea seeks concessions in the coming talks.
