>> Iranian President Hassan Rouhani talked tough Saturday in the face of President Trump's threats to pull out of a multinational nuclear pact. Rouhani went on state television and declared quote, our atomic energy organization is fully prepared for actions that they expect and actions they do not expect. The warning comes ahead of a possible decision out of the White House as early as next month which could see the US abandon an agreement with Iran and five other world powers that exchanges sanctions relief for restraints on Tehran's nuclear program.
Trump has repeatedly called the agreement one of the worst deals ever negotiated. Rouhani has been stepping up the rhetoric ahead of a May 12th deadline. Earlier this week on National Army Day, he said Iran had the right to produce or acquire any weapons needed, without outside approval, in a bid to protect the country from, quote, invading powers in the region.
