>> Police in Dallas arrested a man who'd allegedly shot and critically wounded two police officers and one security guard following a high-speed chase on Tuesday. The shooting occurred at a Home Depot store shortly after 4 PM local time. The incident happened after an off-duty police officer detained a man and called for help, according to local media.
The man reportedly had a handgun and shot the two officers after they responded to the call. 29-year-old Armando Juarez was taken into custody after the truck he was driving was seen by other officers during the five-hour manhunt.>> They were in the area of southeast Dallas, and they observed a vehicle fitting the description of the wanted vehicle.
They gave a pursuit, and they pursued this individual through the area of northwest Dallas where they apprehended him and a passenger, a female. They were both detained and were taken into custody.>> The Dallas Mayor said local police had, quote, taken a punch and come out fighting. According to Dallas police, the two injured officers and security guard have been through surgery.
