>> Winter is not coming. That's what the author behind Game of Thrones said in a blog post, about the long awaited sixth volume in the series. George RR Martin told fans in a blog post quote, you're going to have to keep waiting for the Winds of Winter. But his fans are used to waiting.
Martin published the first book in his Song of Ice and Fire series in 1996. HBO adapted it into a hit TV series, that first aired in 2011, with some 30 million US viewers watching the last season in 2017. Fans of the book have been waiting seven years for the next novel.
Martin soften and the brooder readers saying he would publish an illustrated book in November. And while HBO has said it's been working on more Game of Thrones Thrown spin-offs, Martin was coy on whether material from his illustrated book would be used. Saying quote, well, no one is sure yet, and anyway, I'm not allowed to say.
