>> From jail to a waiting helicopter sent by friends, rapper Meek Mill free again after being released from jail near Philadelphia on Tuesday. His next stop, the NBA Playoff home game between the 76ers and Miami Heat. Mill had been in jail for five months on a probation violation stemming from gun and drug convictions in 2008, but after credibility issues emerged with the police officer who was a critical witness in the 2008 cases, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered his release and granted him a new hearing.

Mill took to Twitter, thanking God, his family, and his public advocates for their support. He then celebrated at the game, where he rang the ceremonial bell. His case was seen by criminal justice reform advocates as emblematic of the legal system they say unfairly treats minorities. The all eyes on you rapper had the backing of a number of stars including actor Kevin Hart, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and rapper Jay Z among others.
